08:27 AM EDT, 05/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Charles River Laboratories International ( CRL ) reported Q1 non-GAAP earnings Wednesday of $2.34 per diluted share, up from $2.27 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.07.
Revenue for the quarter ended March 29 was $984.2 million, down from $1.01 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $941.9 million.
The company said it now expects 2025 non-GAAP earnings of $9.30 to $9.80 per share, up from its prior guidance of between $9.10 and $9.60 per share. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $9.31 per share.
The company expects a lower revenue decrease for 2025 of 5.5% to 3.5%, compared with its earlier estimate of a 7% to 4.5% decline.
Shares of the company were up nearly 21% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
