Charter Communications' Q1 Results Likely to Show Improvement in Broadband Subscriber Losses, UBS Says
Mar 26, 2025 12:49 PM

03:18 PM EDT, 03/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Charter Communications' ( CHTR ) Q1 results are likely to reflect an improvement in broadband subscriber losses and a slight rise in EBITDA growth, UBS said in a note emailed Wednesday.

The investment firm said it now expects residential broadband subscriptions to decrease by 36,000 during the quarter, compared with a prior forecast for 54,000 subscriber losses.

For the year, UBS said it expects broadband losses to narrow to 113,000 from 510,000 in 2024 on the back of new promotions that continue to ramp.

Regarding EBITDA, UBS analysts said they now expect a 1% year over year growth in Q1 with flat revenue, compared with a prior forecast for 0.3% EBITDA growth and a 0.4% drop in revenue. For the full-year, UBS also said it expects EBITDA growth of 1% with flat revenue.

The firm expects Charter to post $486 million in free cash flow in Q1, compared to a prior estimate of $644 million due to higher taxes and seasonal headwinds.

Charter is due to report Q1 results before the opening bell on April 25.

UBS has a neutral rating on the stock with a $400 price target.

CHTR shares were up 2.5% in recent trading.
