12:13 PM EDT, 08/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Charter Communications' ( CHTR ) Spectrum Networks and Optimum Communications ( OPTU ) reached a new strategic deal on local news channels and advertising solutions, the companies said Wednesday.

The deal will restore Optimum TV's carriage of Spectrum News NY1 and Spectrum TV's carriage of News 12 in New York in September, and introduce Spectrum News to Optimum TV in Texas and North Carolina "soon," the partners said.

Additionally, Spectrum Reach agreed to serve as Optimum's advertising sales representative for its West markets, covering about 30 designated market areas, the companies added.
