05:19 PM EDT, 04/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Chartwell Retirement Residences (CSH-UN.TO), after trade Tuesday, said it has acquired three Quebec properties.
The first is Residence Le Florilege in Quebec City. The purchase price was $112.9 million before working capital adjustments, financed with cash and a $77.6 million loan. The second acquisition is Chartwell L'Envol, also in Quebec City. The purchase price was $117.8 million before working capital adjustments, financed with cash and a $65.4 million loan, along with the settlement of a $4.2 million mezzanine loan to the prior owner.
Lastly, the company acquired the remaining 15% interest in Chartwell Trait-Carre in Charlesbourg, Quebec, for $17.2 million. This included the assumption of $66.5 million in financing, which was repaid in full after the transaction.
All three properties are 97% occupied, according to the statement.
Chartwell units closed down $0.08 to $16.70 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
