12:39 PM EDT, 08/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Cheelcare, an assistive mobility-device company, on Tuesday said it signed a five-year lease on Tuesday for a manufacturing facility.
The lease contains an option for a five-year extension and covers 16,000 square feet in Markham, Ontario.
The expansion enables the company to fuel growth by improving its production capacity for its flagship Companion power-assist product while also cementing a dedicated production line for Curio, a tilting complex rehab power wheelchair. Additionally, the facility offers expanded space for research and development, assembly, warehousing, administrative offices and a product-education area.
"Securing this new space is the catalyst of our growth strategy", said chief executive Eugene Cherny.
Shares of Cheelcare were last seen down $0.04 to $0.98 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
