09:04 AM EDT, 09/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Cheniere Energy (LNG) has signed a 1.2 billion-cubic-meter liquefied natural gas contract with Turkey's state energy company Botas, Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said in a social media post Wednesday.
Bayraktar said the deal is expected to contribute to the development of new business models.
Botas also signed LNG supply agreements for 8.7 billion cubic meters with BP (BP), Eni (E), and Shell (SHEL) from 2026 to 2028, Bayraktar said Tuesday.
Under the deals signed in Italy, BP will provide 4.8 billion cubic meters, Eni will supply 1.5 billion cubic meters, while Shell will provide 2.4 billion cubic meters, according to the minister.
