Cheniere Energy, JERA Sign Long-Term LNG Supply Deal Through 2050

10:25 AM EDT, 08/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Cheniere Energy (LNG) said Thursday that it has signed a long-term liquefied natural gas sale and purchase agreement with Japan-based JERA, extending their partnership through 2050.

Under the agreement, Cheniere Marketing said it will supply approximately 1 million metric tons per annum of LNG to JERA starting in 2029, on a free-on-board basis. Pricing will be indexed to the US Henry Hub benchmark plus a fixed liquefaction fee, the company said.
