04:06 AM EST, 01/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Chevron ( CVX ) said Friday its 50%-owned affiliate Tengizchevroil has achieved first oil at its Future Growth Project, or FGP, at the Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan.

FGP is the third processing plant in operation at Tengiz, which is expected to ramp up output to one million barrels of oil equivalent per day, the company said.

The FGP expansion aims to boost crude oil production by 260,000 barrels per day at full capacity, Chevron ( CVX ) said.
