Chevron to Relocate Headquarters to Houston, Texas

06:58 AM EDT, 08/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Chevron ( CVX ) said Friday that it is relocating the company's headquarters from San Ramon, California, to Houston, Texas.

Chevron's ( CVX ) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mike Wirth, and Vice Chairman, Mark Nelson, will move to Houston by the end of the year to co-locate with other senior leaders.

The company said there will be minimal immediate relocation impacts to other employees based in San Ramon. Chevron ( CVX ) currently has roughly 7,000 workers in the Houston area and about 2,000 workers in San Ramon.

The company expects all corporate functions to shift to Houston over the next five years.

Separately, Chevron's ( CVX ) Chief Human Resources Officer, Rhonda Morris, will retire after 31 years with the company.

Michelle Green, vice president of human resources for oil, products, and gas, will succeed Morris, effective Jan. 1, 2025.
