Aug 20 (Reuters) - Chilean lithium producer SQM

expects sales volumes and prices to be higher in the

third quarter than the second, executives said in a call with

analysts on Wednesday to discuss quarterly results.

The company also said it maintains its expectation for a

deal with state-run copper miner Codelco to be finalized as soon

as September or October this year, pending approval from Chinese

regulators.
