Chimera Investment Agrees to Acquire HomeXpress Mortgage From Seer Capital Management Affiliates, Other Management Sellers

07:21 AM EDT, 06/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Chimera Investment ( CIM/PA ) said Thursday it has agreed Wednesday to acquire HomeXpress Mortgage from affiliates of Seer Capital Management and management sellers.

HomeXpress, which operates in 46 states and Washington, DC, is an originator of non-qualified mortgages as well as investor business purpose, other non-agency, and agency mortgage products. The company employs about 300 people and reported $47 million in pre-tax net income in 2024.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
