05:41 PM EDT, 08/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Chimera Investment ( CIM/PA ) said Monday it has priced a $65 million underwritten public offering of its 9.25% senior notes due 2029.

The firm said it granted its underwriters, including Morgan Stanley and RBC Capital Markets, a 30-day option to buy up to an additional $9.75 million notes to cover over-allotments. It expects to close the offering on Aug. 19.

Net proceeds will be used to finance the acquisition of mortgage assets and for general corporate purposes, it said.
