05:29 PM EDT, 05/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Chimera Investment ( CIM ) said late Wednesday it has priced an underwritten public offering of $65 million of 9.00% senior notes due 2029.

The company said it has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to buy up to an additional $9.8 million of notes.

The offering is expected to close on May 22.

Chimera said it plans to use the net proceeds to fund the acquisition of mortgage assets and other general corporate purposes.
