Sept 19 (Reuters) - China Development Bank Financial
Leasing, through its aircraft leasing unit, will
purchase fifty of Boeing's ( BA ) 737-8 aircraft, the company
said on Thursday.
The delivery of the purchased aircraft by China
Development Bank's unit, CDB Aviation Lease Finance, is expected
between 2028 and 2031.
The company said it is executing the deal in order to
"optimize the fleet structure and increase the proportion of
next-generation aircraft."
This marks the second major aircraft acquisition by the
Chinese firm recently, following their
announcement
last week of a purchase order for 80 Airbus
A320neo planes, with deliveries expected to begin in 2030.
No financial details of the purchase were disclosed.
