China Raises Tariffs on US Imports to 84%

07:27 AM EDT, 04/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- China has increased tariffs on imports from the US to 84% from 34%, starting April 10, the Chinese Finance Ministry said Wednesday.

The move comes in response to the US government's decision to increase a "reciprocal tariff" on Chinese goods exported to the US, the ministry said.
