LIMA, Aug 21 (Reuters) - Chinese state-run energy
company China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) will start
producing natural gas in Peru in November of next year,
requiring an investment of around $500 million, said the head of
regulator Perupetro on Thursday.
A consortium operated by Anadarko, Chevron ( CVX )
and Westlawn will also begin drilling an offshore
exploration block by the end of this year, with a $100 million
investment, Perupetro chief Pedro Chira said.
