China's commerce minister met with Airbus CEO on Tuesday

BEIJING, Oct 22 (Reuters) - China's Minister of Commerce

Wang Wentao met with Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury on

Tuesday, according to a statement from the ministry, during

which he pledged to assist the airplane maker in ensuring its

supply chain stability.

Wang also told Faury that he hoped Airbus would use the

commissioning of a second assembly line in the Chinese city of

Tianjin to strengthen its cooperation with China, the statement

added.
