BEIJING, July 29 (Reuters) - China COSCO Shipping signed
a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Monday with the world's
No. 4 iron ore supplier, Fortescue, to jointly develop
technology to lower carbon emissions and build green fuel supply
chain.
Both companies will also explore the construction and
deployment of COSCO shipping vessels or jointly owned vessels
using green ammonia as marine fuel to transport iron ore and
other minerals to reduce carbon emissions in the China-Australia
iron ore green shipping corridor.
