Chip Companies Lead Broad Pre-Bell Sell-Off of Tech Stocks

06:23 AM EDT, 04/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing ( TSM ) shares were down more than 8% in Monday's premarket activity, leading a broad decline among large tech companies following the imposition of US tariffs on imports and after China responded with reciprocal duties on US products.

Micron Technology ( MU ) shares were down more than 4%, while shares of Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) , Nvidia ( NVDA ) , and Intel ( INTC ) were down more than 3%.

Meta Platforms ( META ) , Apple ( AAPL ) , Microsoft ( MSFT ) , and Qualcomm ( QCOM ) all fell more than 2% in the premarket sell-off.
