08:28 AM EST, 02/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Christina Lake Cannabis ( CLCFF ) said over the weekend that it expects strong growth in 2025 on the back of its solid harvest numbers.
The company said the purchase of its new outdoor cultivation facility in Midway, British Columbia was challenging in terms of resources required as the total cultivation footprint increased by about 100 acres. Despite this, it managed to complete the inaugural crop and the 2024 harvest at the site.
Last year, Christina Lake and Midway sites yielded about 105,000 kilograms of combined weight in extraction grade biomass and flower.
The increase in harvested mass contributed to the growth in inventory value by about 81% as of Nov. 30, compared with the prior year. This also resulted in higher capitalized expenses, which rose by about 100%.
"Last year, CLC was required to purchase biomass from outside sources to supplement the previously announced approximate 38,000 kgs of biomass and flower harvested in 2023," CEO Mark Aiken said. "With our expansion, we are no longer reliant on external feedstock sources."
Moving forward, the company said it will continue to focus on reducing debt levels, which stood at $9.3 million in convertible debenture liabilities as of Nov. 30.
