05:07 PM EDT, 08/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Churchill Downs (CHDN) said late Wednesday that it closed the acquisition of a majority of the outstanding interests in joint venture Casino Salem in New Hampshire, funding the purchase through an existing credit facility.

Financial details weren't provided.

The initial phase of Casino Salem opened on July 9, the company said.

Churchill Downs said it plans to finalize plans and begin construction of the future phases that will include a rebranding of the venue and an expansion of the gaming floor.
