CI Financial Commencing Substantial Issuer Bid

08:14 AM EDT, 08/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CI Financial Corp. ( CIXXF ) on Monday said it will offer to purchase up to 5 million of its outstanding common shares for cash, at a purchase price of $17.50 per share.

As of August 23, 2024, a statement noted, there were 146,116,685 shares issued and outstanding (which number includes 414,400 shares that were previously purchased under the company's existing normal course issuer bid that have not yet been cancelled in the ordinary course). The offer is for approximately 3.4% of the total number of issued and outstanding shares.
