May 30 (Reuters) - Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce ( CM )
reported a rise in second-quarter profit on Thursday,
driven by robust performance in its capital markets and direct
financial services segment.
The bank's net income rose to C$1.75 billion ($1.28
billion), or C$1.79 per share, in the three months ended April
30, from C$1.69 billion, or C$1.76 per share, a year earlier.
