07:36 AM EDT, 09/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Cigna Group ( CI ) unit Evernorth Health Services said Tuesday it invested $3.5 billion in specialty pharmacy management firm Shields Health Solutions.

The investment coincides with Shields Health's establishment as a private standalone company upon its acquisition by private-equity firm Sycamore Partners.

Evernorth said its investment in Shields Health is not expected to have a material impact to Cigna's ( CI ) 2025 adjusted earnings outlook of at least $29.60 per share. Analysts polled by FactSet are looking for $29.64.
