05:55 AM EDT, 03/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Citigroup's ( C/PN ) (C) Citibank will temporarily close its United Arab Emirates branches and financial centers until March 14 as a precaution amid the ongoing war, media outlets reported Thursday.

Plans to reopen the branches are set on March 16, but the company's Dubai Mall of the Emirates branch will remain open, the reports said.

HSBC ( HSBC ) also closed all of its Qatar branches indefinitely to ensure the safety of staff and customers, the media outlets said.

Citigroup ( C/PN ) and HSBC ( HSBC ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
