Citigroup, SIX Group Unit SDX Team Up to Tokenize Private Market Assets
May 26, 2025 2:02 AM

10:23 AM EDT, 05/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Citigroup ( C ) and SIX Group unit SDX said Tuesday they're launching a collaboration to boost investors' access to tokenized private market assets.

Citi said it will tokenize and keep custody of assets on a SDX platform to bring late-stage pre-IPO equities to investors.

Citi and SDX said they're developing a service, expected to be launched by Q3, to "make shares in high-growth, venture-backed private companies much more accessible to investors."

The project will use Citi's experience in securities services and private market investments and SDX's infrastructure for digital securities, the companies said.

Sygnum and SBI Digital Markets will provide access to the pre-IPO equities to investors in Europe and Asia, respectively.
