05:33 PM EDT, 06/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Citizens Financial Group ( CFG ) said late Wednesday that Chief Accounting Officer Jack Read is resigning, effective Aug. 7, to pursue a career opportunity with an organization outside the banking sector.

John Woods, vice chair and chief financial officer, will serve as interim chief accounting officer during a search for Read's successor, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Shares of the company fell 1.7% in after-hours activity.
