01:12 PM EDT, 05/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Clever Leaves ( CLVR ) shares rose 17% in recent trading Thursday after the company said a private investment fund incorporated in Brazil acquired an 8.5% stake through open-market transactions.

In a US regulatory filing, Clever Leaves ( CLVR ) said BCM Investimentos Fundo de Investimento acquired the shares "because they believe that the shares are undervalued and represent an attractive investment opportunity."

Clever Leaves ( CLVR ) shares are set to be delisted from the Nasdaq with Thursday expected to be the last trading day.
