Clorox Sells Operations in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay

10:04 AM EDT, 03/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Clorox (CLX) said Thursday it has sold certain wholly owned subsidiaries with operations in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay to privat- equity fund Apex Capital and an investment group led by former Clorox executive Diego Barral.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

The sale included Clorox's two production plants and rights to Clorox brands in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, along with shared intellectual property. The deal excludes the company's Latin America research and development as well as corporate hubs, Clorox said.

Clorox said it will face a one-time after-tax charge of around $233 million in Q3 of fiscal 2024 as a result of the transaction.
