10:31 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Cloudflare ( NET ) said Tuesday that it plans to launch the x402 Foundation in partnership with Coinbase (COIN) to create a new standard that simplifies how payments are made and received across the Internet.

This new standard will enable developers, website owners, and content creators around the world to request and accept payments regardless of the location, currency, or payment method used, the company said.

Financial details of the partnership weren't provided.

Shares of Cloudflare ( NET ) fell 2%, while Coinbase was slightly lower in recent trading.
