Clover Health Investments Unit Signs Multi-Year Agreement With The Iowa Clinic; Shares Jump Premarket
Sep 4, 2024 4:51 PM

05:28 AM EDT, 09/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Clover Health Investments ( CLOV ) subsidiary Counterpart Health unveiled a multi-year agreement late Tuesday with The Iowa Clinic, a US healthcare group in the Midwest.

Shares of Clover jumped nearly 9% in premarket activity Wednesday.

Counterpart, on an expansion across the country, said it expects to receive a per-member, per-month fee, and potential incentive payments contingent on achieving certain care management targets.

Under the terms of the deal, clinicians serving The Iowa Clinic's Medicare Advantage and Medicare Shared Savings Program patients will use Counterpart Assistant, a cloud-based software platform. The platform will also be made available to Iowa Clinic's network partners throughout the Midwest.

Counterpart Assistant integrates into physicians' workflows, supporting earlier diagnosis and management of chronic diseases, the company said.
