08:48 AM EDT, 04/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CME Group ( CME ) said Monday its Q1 average daily volume from outside the US was 7.4 million contracts, up 2% from a year earlier.

The company said the gains were supported by a 38% rise in energy products, a 29% growth in agricultural products, and a 7% increase in metals.

CME said its Q1 ADV in Europe, the Middle East and Africa reached 5.4 million contracts, up 6% from the prior year.

The company's ADV for Asia Pacific and Latin America ADV was 1.7 million and 190,000 contracts, respectively.

The Q1 ADV for Canada was 168,000 contracts, CME said.
