CME Group Reports Record Q3 International Derivatives Volume

05:42 AM EDT, 10/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CME Group ( CME ) said Monday its Q3 international average daily volume reached a record 8.4 million contracts, up 29% from a year earlier.

Worldwide, the derivatives marketplace reported a record Q3 average daily volume of 28.3 million contracts, up 27% from a year earlier.

The company said the highest international trading volumes came from interest rate and equity products, which accounted for three-quarters of growth.

Chief Commercial Officer Julie Winkler said the non-US volume was driven by "all asset classes" in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region.
