May 30 (Reuters) - A technical glitch affecting
dissemination of market data for the S&P and Dow Jones indexes
on Thursday has been resolved, exchange operator CME Group ( CME )
said.
Trading continued normally, with the benchmark S&P 500 index
and the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.3% and
0.9%, respectively.
The data freeze lasted for about an hour but trading
appeared unaffected during the pause, according to reports by
CNBC and Bloomberg News.
CME and S&P did not immediately respond to a request seeking
additional details.
CME owns a stake in S&P Dow Jones Indices, which operates
some of the most popular benchmarks for U.S. equities.
