11:38 AM EST, 11/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CMS Energy's ( CMS ) Consumers Energy ( CMS ) unit said Monday it has completed its Mid-Michigan natural gas pipeline upgrade project in time for the winter heating season.

The project, which involves 55 miles of transmission pipeline, is part of a nearly $1.5 billion initiative to modernize the company's natural gas system.

Shares of CMS Energy ( CMS ) declined slightly in recent Monday trading.
