Three analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.39.

Total revenue for the commercial insurer for the quarter ended March 31 was $3.02 billion, up from $2.78 billion a year earlier.

One analyst surveyed by Capital IQ expected $3.49 billion.

The company said it maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.44 per share, payable June 6 to shareholders of record as of May 20.
