CNH Industrial Stock Rises Following Q1 Earnings, Case, New Holland Parent Company Says Its Positioned To Weather Macroeconomic Uncertainties
May 25, 2025 11:31 PM

CNH Industrial N.V. ( CNH ) reported first-quarter financial results before the market open on Thursday. Here’s a look at the key metrics from the quarter.

Q1 Earnings: CNH Industrial ( CNH ) reported first-quarter revenue of $3.83 billion, beating analyst estimates of $3.51 billion, according to Benzinga Pro. The company reported first-quarter adjusted earnings of 10 cents per share, in line with analyst estimates.

Total revenue was down 21% on a year-over-year basis. The company reported $162 million in net cash from operations and $567 million in industrial free cash flow absorption in the quarter.

“Despite the challenging market conditions, CNH remains committed to driving operational excellence and advancing cutting-edge technologies. Our focus on reducing dealer inventories and managing costs has positioned us to weather the current macroeconomic uncertainties, and our balanced global exposure allows us to continue providing excellent products and services to our customers,” CEO Gerrit Marx said in the earnings release.

Guidance: CNH Industrial ( CNH ) lowered its full-year 2025 adjusted earnings guidance from a range of 65 cents to 75 cents per share to a new range of 50 cents to 70 cents per share. Analysts’ estimates call for earnings of 68 cents per share, according to Benzinga Pro.

CNH also expects 2025 revenue to be lower than 2024. Here’s a breakdown of the sales forecast by segment:

Agriculture segment: down 12% to 20%

Construction segment: down 4% to 15%

“The Company forecasts that 2025 global industry retail sales will be lower in both the agriculture and construction equipment markets when compared to 2024. In addition, CNH is focused on driving down excess channel inventory primarily by producing fewer units than the retail demand level. Therefore, 2025 net sales will be lower than in 2024,” the company said.

CNH Industrial ( CNH ) is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery. Its brand portfolio includes Case and New Holland. The company is also a major player in construction equipment.

CNH Price Action: CNH Industrial ( CNH ) shares were up 8.12% at $12.51 at the time of publication Thursday, according to Benzinga Pro.
