07:47 AM EDT, 05/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CNX Resources ( CNX ) and KeyState Energy are collaborating to build a hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuel facility estimated to cost about $1.5 billion at the Pittsburgh International Airport, the companies announced Wednesday.
CNX and KeyState said they signed a letter of intent for the project, which is expected to create 3,000 construction jobs during the development phase if the US Department of Treasury allows tax credits for ultra-low carbon intensity fugitive coal mine methane under the 45V Hydrogen Production Tax Credit.
KeyState will be the project developer, while CNX will provide feedstock services and other technical engineering support, according to the companies.
