Cochin Shipyard's order book for next two-three years would be around Rs 14000-15000 crore, said Madhu S Nair, CMD of the company.
"The company saw a significant improvement in ship repair revenues," Nair said.
Cochin Shipyard on Thursday reported more than two-fold rise in net profit at Rs 91.62 crore for the quarter ended on March 31, 2018 compared to a net profit of Rs 41.20 crore in corresponding January-March period of 2016-17.
It was a strong show by the company in this quarter, led by a marked improvement in their operational performance. The year-on-year (Y-o-Y) revenues for the quarter were up 15% at Rs 600 crore and EBITDA was up 277% at Rs 115 crore against Rs 30 crore. The Y-o-Y margins were 19% against 6%.
