Cognizant Technology Completes Belcan Acquisition, Revises Q3, 2024 Guidance

08:54 AM EDT, 08/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cognizant Technology Solutions ( CTSH ) said Tuesday it has completed its acquisition of Belcan for roughly $1.3 billion in cash and stock.

The company said it now expects Q3 revenue in the range of $4.95 billion to $5.02 billion, an increase of 1.1% to 2.6% from its prior range, to reflect the impact of the acquisition. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $4.93 billion.

For full-year 2024, the company said it now expects adjusted earnings of $4.56 to $4.64 per diluted share, down from its prior range of $4.62 to $4.70. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $4.65. Revenue for the year is now expected to be about $19.5 billion to $19.8 billion, up 0.9% to 2.4% from its prior range. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $19.47 billion.

Shares of the company were down 1.3% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
