11:36 AM EDT, 10/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cognizant Technology Solutions ( CTSH ) systematically discriminated against non-Indian workers and should pay punitive damages to those affected, media reports said Tuesday, citing a US jury verdict.

The verdict was issued in relation to a class-action lawsuit that claimed the IT services company exploited the H-1B visa process, according to the reports.

The company is disappointed with the decision and intends to appeal, Cognizant's spokesperson said in an email to MT Newswires.
