09:14 AM EDT, 04/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cognizant Technology Solutions ( CTSH ) said Monday that it is collaborating with Microsoft ( MSFT ) in a project to expand the use of generative AI in enterprise business operations using the software giant's AI chatbot Copilot.

Cognizant said it has purchased 25,000 licenses to Microsoft ( MSFT ) 365 Copilot for its employees, as well as 500 for Sales Copilot and another 500 for Services Copilot, as part of the partnership.

The company said it has also trained 35,000 of its own developers on Github Copilot, the AI technology's programming assistant, and plans to train 40,000 more developers.

Cognizant said it will work to deploy Microsoft ( MSFT ) 365 Copilot to a million users within their global 2,000 clients and across 11 industries.

Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.
