09:11 AM EST, 01/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Cognizant Technology Solutions ( CTSH ) said Thursday it will provide AI-driven tools to Gilead Sciences ( GILD ) under an expanded partnership agreement in an effort to help enhance Gilead's cost leadership and productivity.

Cognizant said it plans to use its Neuro AI generative artificial intelligence platform to help Gilead improve IT and business processes and operational efficiencies to provide cost savings that can be reinvested into Gilead's core life sciences business.

The expanded collaboration builds on a partnership that aimed to create capacity to enable Gilead to continue discovering and delivering medicines for diseases such as cancer and HIV, Cognizant said.

Shares of Cognizant and Gilead were up more than 1% in recent premarket activity.
