01:21 PM EST, 12/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Coinbase Global ( COIN ) said Monday it launched Apple's ( AAPL ) Apple Pay for all fiat-to-crypto purchases through the Coinbase Onramp tool.

Coinbase said Onramp facilitates fiat-to-crypto conversions through lightweight know-your-customer for eligible purchases, free USDC on and offramping and access to various payment methods.

The company said the process of getting onchain "only takes seconds" with Apple Pay.

Coinbase shares advanced 2.6% and Apple ( AAPL ) shares rose 0.9% in recent Monday trading.
