11:39 AM EDT, 07/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Coinbase Global ( COIN ) said Monday that the US Marshals Service has chosen its platform, known as Coinbase Prime, to safeguard and trade the agency's class 1 digital assets.

The agency selected Coinbase Prime following a competitive due diligence process that assessed a range of options, Coinbase said in a blog post.

Terms of the deal and the size of the agency's digital assets were not disclosed.

Shares of Coinbase rose 4% in recent trading activity.
