01:36 PM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Comcast's ( CMCSA ) NBC News division is shedding about 150 employees to cut costs before the spinoff of some NBCUniversal cable brands into a separate company named Versant, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.

The employees will be encouraged to apply for around 140 other roles in the division, the reports said.

Comcast ( CMCSA ) and NBC News did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
