Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $3.20.

Revenue in the quarter ended June 30 rose to $1.81 billion from $1.30 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.69 billion.

Separately, the company kept its quarterly dividend at $0.30 a share, payable Aug. 23 to stockholders of record Aug. 12.

Comfort Systems shares were up over 8% in after-hours activity.
