Commercial Metals to Acquire Concrete Pipe & Precast for $675 Million; Shares Down Pre-Bell

07:25 AM EDT, 09/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Commercial Metals ( CMC ) said Thursday that it has signed an agreement to acquire Concrete Pipe & Precast from Eagle Corp. and ECPP for $675 million.

Commercial Metals ( CMC ) said the deal is expected to be immediately accretive to its earnings and free cash flow, with annual run-rate synergies of $5 million to $10 million expected three years into the acquisition.

Commercial Metals ( CMC ) said the acquisition will expand its commercial portfolio in early-stage construction, deepen its exposure to structural demand tailwinds in construction, and establish a new growth platform.

Shares of the company were down 3.8% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
