06:32 AM EDT, 07/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Commerzbank in its "European Sunrise" note of Wednesday highlighted:

Markets: United States Treasuries extend gains after a strong seven-year auction, sideways in Asia. E-minis recover losses, Asian equities mostly better bid. EUR roughly unchanged, yen stronger. Oil rallies on Russia headline.

Trade: Chinese negotiator Li Chenggang says China and the U.S. agree to extend the trade truce. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says truce is pending President Donald Trump's approval. Adds that $600 billion investments by the European Union in the U.S. will be closely monitored and that tariffs may rise if the deal isn't held up. India may face tariffs of 20-25%, according to Trump.

Geopolitics: Trump gives Russia 10 days to reach an agreement with Ukraine. EU considers cutting 1.5 billion euros of the planned 4.5 billion euros aid package to Ukraine due to unmet reform targets.

==EUROPE:

France: Gross domestic product rises 0.3% quarter over quarter in Q2, while the consensus was 0.1%.

Germany is preparing more than 60 military procurement orders for parliamentary approval by the end of the year.

SAFE: Several countries have formally expressed interest in requesting loans, and France is also likely to apply for loans, while Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands are likely to decline (Politico).

==ASIA:

China: Finance Minister Lan Foan says the government will "make good use of more proactive fiscal policies" to counter growing economic headwinds and will actively resolve local government debt risks.
