Markets: United States Treasuries better bid despite weak 10-year auction, before yields trended higher into New York close, also in Asia. E-minis extend gains in Asia with stronger Asian equities. EUR stronger at $1.167, Brent recovers above $67/barrel.

Fed: San Francisco Federal Reserve President Mary Daly says risks to inflation and unemployment are roughly in balance. Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook says latest jobs report is concerning and suggests "turning point" for the economy.

Fed: President Donald Trump says new governor will "probably" be temporary, not permanent, and will be named over the next days. Number of candidates is "probably down to three," adds that "the two Kevins [Hassett and Warsh] are very good."

Trade: Trump says he will put "approximately 100%" tariff on chips, except for companies that move back production to the U.S. The U.S. doubles tariffs on India to 50% for buying Russian oil. Trump says similar tariffs for China "may happen."

Geopolitics: Trump says there is a "good chance" of meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Russian President Vladimir Putin soon.

==EUROPE:

Switzerland: Federal Council to hold an extraordinary meeting on Thursday after no deal was reached to lower the 39% U.S. tariff rate.

==ASIA:

China: Trade surplus shrinks more than expected, as import growth unexpectedly rose to 4.1%.
